There are a number of reasons why checks may not be able to be deposited using the mobile app:

  • Folded or torn corners.
  • The front image is not legible.
  • The amount entered doesn’t match the amount read by the scanning software.
  • The routing and account numbers are unclear.

  • Endorsements are missing from the front or back of the check.

Some payment types aren’t eligible for mobile deposit, such as:

  • Checks that don’t contain a nine-digit U.S. routing number.
  • Checks payable to any person or entity other than you.
  • Checks that contain evidence of alteration or fraud.
  • Checks made payable to a business.

It’s easy! Simply navigate to “More,” then select “Settings” and “Contact.” (If you’re logged in from a web browser, navigate to “Tools,” then hit “Settings” and “Contact.”

You can view images of deposited checks by opening your account and selecting the “View History” folder icon at the top of the “Mobile Deposit” screen. Accepted deposits are available to view for 18 months, and deleted deposits are available to view for six months. A check recently deposited may take up to one business day to show up, and if a check is rejected, the reasoning will be explained in the history area.

So long as the mobile deposit status shows as “Held for Review,” you can delete the deposit. Simply select your account, then tap “Deposit” in the menu. From there, select the “View History” icon at the top-right of the screen, then locate the deposit labeled “Held for Review” and swipe left to delete it.
