Gate City Bank’s new building at 11 1st St. SE in Mayville, ND

Mayville Gate City Bank to Celebrate Grand Opening.

MAYVILLE, ND – We’re excited to welcome customers and community members to our newly rebuilt location, celebrating the next chapter in a more than 50-year partnership with the Mayville-Portland community.

New Mayville Bank Designed Around Customers, Community and Growth.

The state-of-the-art building, located at 11 1st St. SE, reflects our continued commitment to innovation, growth and exceptional customer service while providing a warm, inviting space where local families and businesses can thrive for years to come.

Special Celebration With Prizes, Donations and More.

The community is invited to celebrate the grand opening of our new Mayville location on Tuesday, Aug. 18, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony from 11 a.m. to noon with Mayor John Mewes, Mayville City Council members and local community leaders. As part of the festivities, Gate City Bank will present $500 donations to Mayville Fire and Rescue and the May-Port Food Pantry. Visitors can also enter to win one of five $50 gift cards1 to local businesses, pick up fun giveaway items and enjoy refreshments with the friendly, welcoming hospitality that customers have come to know and love.

The celebration doesn’t stop there. Wednesday, Aug. 19 – Thursday, Aug. 20, new customers can receive $1002 for opening a new checking account with Gate City Bank for the first time. Existing customers can receive $100 by referring someone who opens their first checking account. Visit GateCity.Bank/100 for more details.

More Than 50 Years of Service and Support.

The celebration marks the completion of a rebuilding effort that allowed Gate City Bank to continue serving customers via a temporary mobile facility while construction was underway, reinforcing our long-term commitment to the Mayville community.

“We’re thrilled to welcome our friends and neighbors back into a space that truly feels like home,” said Adam Overmoe, Gate City Bank Personal Banking Supervisor. “This new location is more than a branch. It’s a place where we can connect, share and continue supporting the community.”

Gate City Bank first opened in Mayville in 1970. Throughout the years, we’ve remained dedicated to helping the community thrive, sponsoring events like Mayville State University’s Glitz & Glam gala and the MayPort Community Club Summerfest kids’ parade, as well as hosting a toy drive to provide Traill County deputies with teddy bears for kids experiencing trauma.

The city of Mayville is looking forward to having a permanent Gate City Bank location in the community again.

“We’re excited that Gate City Bank continues to invest in Mayville and stand by our community,” said Mayor John Mewes. “Their decision to rebuild here truly shows their commitment to supporting local families and businesses.”
