Gate City Bank has officially partnered with ND Cares in an effort to broaden support for active-duty military members, veterans and their families. The bank has become a key part of a statewide network dedicated to education regarding the needs of those who have bravely served to protect our freedom.

Gate City Bank truly appreciates and supports all veterans, whether they’ve served in times of war or peace. The bank honors beloved patriots of all branches of service, and it’s in this spirit that the partnership with ND Cares continually unveils ways to support those who have so bravely served.
“ND Cares relies on the participation of our communities and their commitment to military outreach,” said Major General Alan Dohrmann, North Dakota National Guard Adjutant General. “We look forward to partnering with Gate City Bank to continue to strengthen an accessible network of support.”
In January 2015, former North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple signed an executive order that officially established the ND Cares coalition. Funds have been included in the 2017-2019 budget to help expand the organization’s work and fund its future initiatives, such as Star Behavioral Health and military outreach opportunities.
One of its main goals is to partner with businesses in North Dakota – both large and small – to ensure those who have served and their families receive the care and assistance they need.
In North Dakota, 52,035 residents recently identified themselves as veterans of the U.S. military. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, this group accounts for 9.6% of the state’s adult population.
